Hi Rajesh,
if you have mild fever, then dont worry. Take medicines prescribed by your doctor. Visit him again and tell him about the fever. Swine flu generally has high fever i.e. more 101 or greater, which is not in your case. But kindly visit your doctor again, he is best to asses or you can take second opinion.

Mild fever could be due to worry and anxiety as well. So dont worry. Follow what your doctor says.

Hi, I have been tested positive for H1N1 and taking treatment right now. I had mild fever and severe dry cough. My physician said you dont have swine flu but as I wanted to be sure so i went for test and it came out positive. I would like to suggest everyone that if you have even mild fever with cough then its always good to go to test which can be done in private labs now. If you go to Religare lab anywhere in bangalore they can provide you details for test. This is government authorized lab and they send the samples to mumbai. On need basis you can get the results in 24-hours also. None of the physician can predict if its swine flu or not and they will treat you only with normal antibiotiques which will reduce your fever for timebeing but its not the right treatment and it is risky for your health. In my case I was suffering from breathlessness and chest pain from last 3 months due to sinus and bronchitis but as my oxyzon saturation level was always 97-98 and chest x-rays were coming fine so none of the doctor asked me to go for test. in last week I travelled to my hometown and after coming back i had fever and too much of dry cough. so i made the test by myself and it was positive. At the same time I would request all indians to please take precautions when you cough or sneeze as its not only your health, it could give others also swine flu. I got it from someone who dint had basic manners of covering his cough. Specially in flights people dont show basic manners of coughing. I had 2 people sitting next to me and on back seat in flight who were sneezing and coughing like anything and without using hankerchief. Other people should immediately react for it and ask them to follow manners of sneezing and coughing. But we all generally keep quiet and allow this virus to spread more in public. Always think the victim could be one of your family also. Please think about others always then only you can save your owns.

I totally agree....I jus had high fever no sore throat, no cough,no body ache but stil i m H1N1 positive...so its difficult to predict by merely seeing the symptoms.I work in a school from where i got infected coz hardly any precautionary measures are been taken there.

Yes you are right. The symptoms of swine flu are very mild.No doctor can predict it.I had 103 F fever, dry cough and fatigue. My doctor gave me medicine and my fever had gone in a week.He told me that you dont have swine flu.But still i did the swine flu test and it came out to be positive. So what i want to tell you is that this disease is not easily detectable and its symptoms are very low.So my advice is that if you have dry cough for more than a week than go for the swine flu test.
I think its free in the govt. hospitals but the private laboratories are charging Rs.4500 for a single test.
And also remember to cover you mouth every time you sneeze. This is the only way this disease can be prevented.

Hi.My friend and her brother are having congestion, cough, cold, body pains and blood in their mucus when they blow their nose. They went to RML yesterday and were told that they have swine flu and were given the needed medicine. They will be getting their tests done today. What i wanted to know was that since it has been around 2 weeks since the brother has been ill and 5 days since my friend has been, do they need to be admitted into a hospital?the doctor at RML did not suggest them too but I have my doubts about that. They even refused to get the test done their and directed them to a private hospital for the test. Please help!its an urgent matter.
