July 21st Update: 14 New Cases

Fourteen new laboratory confirmed cases have been reported in India today: Delhi (6), Chennai (2), Pune (2), Vishakhapatnam (2), Dehradun (1) and Trivandrum (1).  This takes the total number of swine flu cases in India to 322 out of which 234 have been cured and dischareged

Four of the six cases in Delhi [one 15 year old female, two 15 year old males and another 13 year old female] are contacts of a previously reported positive case. The fifth case is a 25 year old male who travelled from Thailand reaching Delhi 15th July. The sixth case in Delhi is a 25 year old male who travelled from UK reaching Delhi on 18th July. 

One of the two cases in Chennai is a 41 year old male who travelled from London. The second case is another 41 year old male is a contact case of a previously reported positive case in Chennai. 

The two cases [13 years old females] in Pune are school contacts of previously reported cases in Pune. 

One of the two cases in Vishakhapatam is a 25 year old female who travelled from Frankfurt. The other case is a 2 year old female child who of the previous case in Chennai.

The case in Dehradun is a 9 year old female child who travelled from Thailand.

The case in Trivandrum is 43 year old male who travelled from London.
