One hundred and eighty six cases of swine flu have been reported in India today. The number of cases in Bangalore has been steadily rising with 22 cases being reported today. The total number of positive cases crosses 3000 and now stands at 3095. The health minstry has stopped giving updates on the number of cured cases.

After going down consecutively for four days, the number of swine flu cases reported today rises to one hundred and thirty seven. Chennai records the highest number with 41 cases. The official number of deaths reported is 63 although a number of newspapers are reporting higher number of deaths. The total number of infections has now risen to 2909.

August 17th Update: 220 New Cases
Two hundred and twenty laboratory confirmed cases have been reported in India today. This marks the highest number of cases in the country on a single date. Again over 90% are local cases with no travel history. The number of cured cases is now at 703 while the total infections are 1927. The total number of deaths reported is 25 with none being reported today.
