August 25th Update: 186 New Swine Flu Cases in India

One hundred and eighty six cases of swine flu have been reported in India today. The number of cases in Bangalore has been steadily rising with 22 cases being reported today. The total number of positive cases crosses 3000 and now stands at 3095. The health minstry has stopped giving updates on the number of cured cases.

August 19th Update: 216 New Cases

Two Hundred and Sixteen confirmed cases of swine flu have been reported in India today. The number of cases reported goes back to 3 digits after a double digit growth yesterday. However it is lower than the highest single-day count of 220 reported two days earlier. New cities with infections today - Rajkot, Buldan, Beed, Jamnagar and Daman. Chennai records a high 30 infections.

August 16th Update: 152 New Cases

One Hundred and fifty two positive cases of swine flu have been reported in India today. We have enabled comments on the webstie and have found a number of readers worried about the outbreak. We would like to remind all of you that there is no reason to panic. The current strain of swine flu is completely curable and deaths happen only in rare instances where the patient is suffering from some underlying disease or with low immunity levels.

August 15th Update: 165 New Cases

One Hundred and sixty five positive cases of swine flu have been reported in India today. This is the highest number of cases reported in a single day till date. Pune, after taking a breather yesterday with just 4 cases, comes back to the top with 69 cases tody. New cities added to the list today -Solapur, Ratnagiri, Yavtmal, Mizoram, Patna, Ernakumal, Mallapuram and Pondicherry

August 14th Update: 107 New Cases

One Hundred and seven positive cases have been reported in India today. The number of new cases has gone back to three digits. However Pune recorded a low number of cases, just 4, which is a significant improvement. Naned, Dhule, Latur, Surat and Panchkula record their first cases today.
