This website is doing a wonderful job of spreading awareness and educating the masses about the Swine Flu - a thing which was really required at this stage of epidemic. Among the cesspool of half baked knowledge available through the media, this website is doing a yeoman job. Keep it up

This is really helpful.
In a city like bangalore i cant imagine there is so less awareness people wear masks everywhere they go.
but as soon as they reach home they dont take a shower.
they go to crowded places and keep touching there masks or hand kerchiefs.. that is pretty insensible as the virus can still reach your mouth or nose...
take care in right ways and swine flu is nothing to be worried of..

why cant government provide free check ups and treatements? the death rates are increasing day by day, and most of the innocent peoples are ending their lifes. providing free masks in the nearest hospiltals will save the peopls who cant afort even for that.
really this message is very useful for each and evry body and the preventions mentioned in that

The current epidemic of H1N1 viral infection has affected countries across the world. WHO has declared it as pandemic. The H1N1 infection situation at present in our country has made the people panic.
As like any government would do INDIAN GOVERNMENT is doing very meticulous steps in the matter. The testing and treatment is available FREE OF COST at all centres recognised and authorised for this.
PROVIDING MASK is not the only solution.Simple measures like cough etiquettes (covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing and avoiding spitting in the open), hand washing, and absenteeism for 7 days from work place/school, when sick, are important and very effective in containing spread of the virus .
SELF DISCIPLINARY ACTS as mentioned above are most helpful.
Its a question of COMMON SENSE usage in it.The role of medicine or government comes last...!

Mr.Avinash,
at present you are having just history of one day and that to inconclusive.Since you do not have any risk factor (Diabetes-HIV-less than 5 years age-pregnant-more than 65 etc.) you may safely seek treatment for this from nearest medical centre and if fever persist more than 3 days then go to the specialised centre for H1N1 TESTING(you will get information from this website only).
all the best...
